Rework of existing E-commerce store built on WooCommerce for high traffic and scalability.
Solution
We have changed the Frontend to lightweight Gutenberg based Theme using WordPress REST API. The store is 100% dynamic so there was no space for full page caching thus we have moved the platform to high frequency dedicated cloud server and optimised PHP-FPM, Redis Pro and FastCGI for the best possible performance. Also we have added optimisations on DNS level to preload and prefetch static files.
